Photo Essay - LIVESTRONG Sporting Park Opening Day

On the outside looking in. Through the fence peering into LIVESTRONG Sporting Park.
A magically night for American soccer in Kansas City as LIVESTRONG Sporting Park made its debut in Major League Soccer. The on-field product couldn't match the beauty of the stadium itself as Sporting KC and Chicago Fire settled for a 0-0 draw.

The Cauldron put on a great tailgate and a great show in the stands despite the result. KC forward Teal Bunbury and other Sporting players even made their way through the supporters section to thank them post game (see below).

Check all the photos from Kansas City's day:

The Cauldron's pre-game tailgate. Free Boulevard Brewing Co. Wheat Ale!

Commemorative combo scarves for supporters. Half Sporting, half Chicago Fire.

One of the Cauldron's leaders Sean Dean and some guy who wanted the photo emailed to him. Come and get it!

At long last... inside. Gorgeous.

Supporters Club... only available to members of the supporters section.

Meet Weston Brewing Co. "Drop Kick" Amber Ale (Weston, MO). Just two bucks in the supporters club!

A perfect night for American soccer.
There's gangway above the supporters section for hanging banners and standing room-only.

Supporters are just feet away from the pitch.
