PHOTO ESSAY - Free Beer Match Day: USWNT in Dallas

We took in the United States Women's National Team international friendly against New Zealand in Frisco, Texas this past weekend. A pair of Alex Morgan late goals spared the Lady Nats blushes, but as always, when American soccer is on tap there's no question it was a good time.

We were joined at the tailgate by member several area chapters of the American Outlaws (Dallas-Forth Worth, Oklahoma City, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio)the San Antonio soccer supporters group, the Crocketteers (a NASL team, the Scorpions, starts play this season), and members of several FC Dallas supporters groups.

We were armed with some canned craft brew from
Austin Beerworks and a handful of FBM scarves.
This Outlaw from OKC aka "scarfman" added the FBM scarf to his collection.

The Crocketteers came loaded with several dozen cases of FREE BEER provided by a San Antonio-area distributor.

A brisk day called for creative use of FBM's scarf and a few extra beers for warmth.

Sunny, but fer-eezing!
20,677 took in the match.

We sat next to this guy (his name is Homer) at the stadium, a home brewer from Lubbock, and by the end of the match he bought the FBM scarf off our neck! Another satisfied customer!

  1. The Crocketteers want to thank Silver Eagle Distributors for their generous donation of Budweiser, Bud Light, Michelob and Busch beer for the tailgate.
