You heard it here first. Aston Villa and USMNT youngster Eric Lichaj is the heir apparent to the throne vacated at right back by our man Frankie Hejduk. We, and Bob Bradley, have been searching for the solution to that position since Frankie's reign ended in Denmark in 2009.
Make-shift defenses, employing Captain Carlos Bocanegra or Jonathan Bornstein were valiant efforts, but the time is now to move forward and starting thinking about the Gold Cup this summer and 2014 in Brazil.
Eric Lichaj is our man and the natural successor to the Free Beer Captain's spot in the back line.
There's just one thing missing.....
Now that's better!
