It's a crowded sports calendar, and soccer needs to just shrug and deal with it. Football, baseball, basketball, hockey, NASCAR, golf and tennis aren't going to go away no matter how much soccerfan stomps his feet. I firmly believe that soccer can take its place with all the other sports as a part of American sports culture.
